The Ordre Mondial des Gourmets Dégustateurs is a special section of the Chaîne, whose objectives are the promotion of good wines, brandy, liqueurs, spirits, and to get them appreciated throughout the world.

L'Ordre Mondial is first and foremost a part of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. It is the section that focuses on the enjoyment, the study and appreciation of the skill in developing and crafting fine beverages.

Its members are professionals, such as producers or dealers of wines, brandy, liqueurs and spirits as well as connoisseurs. The Ordre Mondial may exist in any of the Baillages of the Chaîne. Each section is under the authority of an Echanson whose activities are supervised by the Bailli Délégué. 

Events in Thailand organized by the Ordre Mondial are, generally, less formal than those of the Chaîne. The primary focus of an Ordre Mondial event is the wine, with food playing a supporting but nonetheless an important role.
