On January 29th 2008, 56 members and guests have enjoyed a spectacular dinner graciously hosted by H.E. Antonio de Faria e Maya, The Portuguese Ambassador to Thailand and his lovely wife Madame. Maria de Piedade de Faria e Maya on the ground of the ambassador's residence. On behalf of the Chaine des Rotisseurs committee members, I extend an utmost appreciation to our host for their hospitalities. Ambassadors from Argentina, H.E. Filipe Friedman, Cuba, H.E. Maria Luisa Fernandez, India, H.E. Latha Reddy, and Spain, H.E. Juan Manuel Lopez Nadal were also enjoying the evening with us. We had visiting Bailli from Macau Mr. Donald Hall and Sydney Mr. Michael Bond as well as members from Macau whom have become regulars at our dinners. Chef Lucas and Chef Valdimir from The Grand Hyatt Erawan under watchful eyes of Miguel Milo, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, a Bon Vivant Portuguese himself, masterfully created the Portuguese cuisine for the evening. Our Macau member, Mr. Filipe Santos has generously brought with him some of Portuguese finest ham, sausages, cheese and of course, the finest Port wines, thank you Filipe!
