Confrérie de la Chaine des Rôtisseurs
ASSOCIATION MONDIALE DE GASTRONOMIE BAILLIAGE DE THAILANDE The Mandarin Oriental Bangkok The China House evocative of Shanghai in the period between the Wars when it resembles the 'Paris of the Orient'. People all over the world were attracted to Shanghai in those years, as it became a world center for cultural exchange, drawing from myriad of world personalities, from politics to the arts. Shanghai during the Thirties was also a place that melded different international cuisines that first combined the tastes of the East and the West. The cuisine of China House is a combination of traditional Chinese recipes with a touch of innovations and plenty of new perspectives. Pairing wine to Chinese food is not an easy task, elegant wines like Riesling and Pinot Noir based are generally a good pick, at this dinner we are featuring some of the best producers from Germany, France and New Zealand especially a Pinot Noir from Felton Road, New Zealand finest producer of Pinot Noir. You will also experience some lesser know excellent quality wines form Languedoc and some refreshing Moscato from Italy.
